The Approach

Sound Science, Clear Answers

Knowledge, healing, and justice begin with sound science and professional expertise. Forensic and Trauma Psychological Services provides evaluations throughout Utah for individuals, families, attorneys, and the courts.

Every report is grounded in research, guided by ethics, and tailored to the unique circumstances of each case. With a specialty in trauma, evaluations draw on current research to assess the full impact on an individual's functioning and quality of life. Findings are presented with clarity, accuracy, and integrity to provide meaningful insight for treatment providers, families, and the legal system.

Those seeking psychological services deserve an expert who understands their experience and represents the science faithfully. Inquiries are welcomed from attorneys, healthcare professionals, and individuals seeking answers. I look forward to working with you.

About the Practice

Where Science Meets Compassion

Dr. Meghan Semenick, Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Meghan Semenick

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Semenick earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Eastern Kentucky University in 2022 and went on to complete a forensic fellowship in Utah.

She holds advanced training in:

  • Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
  • The Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS)
  • Prolonged exposure
  • Cognitive processing therapy
  • Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy

That clinical training informs the depth and accuracy of her evaluations, particularly where trauma, suicide risk, or amenability to treatment is the question before the court.

Her forensic fellowship and subsequent practice have centered on evaluations prepared for courts and counsel — work where the report is read critically by both sides. Findings are stated plainly, the limits of what the data supports are stated alongside them, and the opinion answers the referral question rather than either party's theory of the case.

Justice and healing are not opposites — together, they create the foundation for a life rebuilt with dignity and purpose.
